Community Music Center Goes to Yoshi’s to Celebrate the Joy of Making Music

(eMusicWire.Org) – (SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 3, 2010) On Monday, May 10, Community Music Center (CMC) will make its premiere appearance at Yoshi’s San Francisco. A Salute to the Joy of Making Music, CMC’s annual fundraiser, provides scholarships for low-income youth.

On stage this special evening will be jazz and cabaret vocalist Paula West. Back by popular demand, West engages audiences across the country with her personal interpretations of jazz standards and smoky, contralto voice.

CMC Board member Carolyn Spitz and her husband Stephen head the Event Committee and leading the Honorary Committee are supervisors David Chiu and David Campos and state senator Mark Leno. Partygoers will enjoy wine, appetizers, and a dazzling array of desserts. A live auction will feature travel packages, food, wine, and music, lots and lots of music.

In a time when CMC’s scholarship fund needs more support than ever, this night out at Yoshi’s makes supporting a worthy cause just plain fun!
