Necessity driven by undiscovered talented people, all looking for a break in the music industry but struggling to find any opportunities, save for standing in a car park for an entire day, waiting for a man with two Bentleys and insanely white teeth to choose a pensioner with a howling lap dog ahead of them....

Soundbowl is a site for singers, songwriters, bands, producers, remixers, rappers, stylists, photographers, DJ's small labels, journalists, promoters, webs designers...basically anybody that plays a part in the development of an artists career.

Members of Soundbowl can connect with other members, co write, remix, cover, promote, perform, sell ....all of these creative things and more by utilisng the sites unique uploading and downloading technology.

It enables members to take a simple idea and turn it into a finished recording, a styled image, a video, a press release, a promoter, a manager and, most of all, a fan base right from one site !

The site has a central "What's Hot " top 100 chart which updates weekly and, by the end of 2010, will be disstributed to over 15000 radio & TV stations, magazines, tabloids, managers, promoters, independent DJ's and journalists throughout the world.

The chart generates by visitors rating tracks that they like,( the more ratings, the higher the chart position ). It is a simple process where the best emerging talent shows itself in terms of popularity which hopefully translates into actual sales and a career.

To launch the site Soundbowl have organized a competition which is free to enter for all of the sites members. The competition is judged in the following categories :
1. The band/ artist
2. The best song
3. The best producer
4. The best remixer

Each winner from the above maybe a different person/ group or the same person winning each category.

The winner(s) will be signed to a record deal with their first single recorded at Abbey Road studios in London.

The single will be released via downloads and overcounter sales.

As well as winners in the above categories,, there will also be winners on the visual side.

These categories include :

1. The best photographer
2. The best stylist.
3. The best designer

These three winners will also work in conjuction with the winning act to produce the single cover and publicity shots for the single launch and artists website.

Why so many winners for a talent contest ? It's simple when you think about it.

There are very few artists who create and manage the entire process single handedly.
Normally there a specific people doing specific roles and ensureing they do them well.
