Kee has been hired to spearhead “A Concert of Change”, part of a week long Inaugural Celebration in Washington DC., commemorating the election of Barack Obama as President of The United States. The concert is scheduled for January 17, 2009 at the Constitution Hall. Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com).
Kee toured the U.S in October of 2008, encouraging concert attendees to register and vote, which caught the attention of a Obama Campaign Supporter. Donelle Prince, met with Kee during his tour, took him and his award-winning group, New Life, through security and on a walk through of the facilities. “We have been a supporter of Barack Obama and his campaign from the beginning” says John P. Kee. The title of his new International CD Released on Sony Records entitled “Yes We Can!” has been sweeping the country, placing in the category of ‘most add-ons’ to radio stations throughout the United States, according to Radio and Records’ gospel charts (www.radioandrecords.com). Kee will headline and perform along with famous artists such as Regina Belle, Men of Standard, Hezekiah Walker, Kim Burrell, Ami Rushes, Angelo and Veronica, Maranda Curtison and Activist Rev.
