(eMusicWire.Org) – Scouting For Girls are to play at the Ricoh Arena later this year as part of their nationwide tour.

The band – who shot to fame with She’s So Lovely and It’s Not About You – will be performing in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall on Sunday, November 30.

Tickets for the gig priced at £17.50 will go on sale tomorrow (Friday, July 25) via the Ricoh Arena’s website www.ricoharena.com, by telephoning 08444 121 747 or from the box office tomorrow (July 25) in the main atrium at the venue from 9am-5pm.

The concert in Coventry is part of Scouting For Girls’ huge UK tour which also includes shows in Plymouth, Brighton, Southend, Wolverhampton, Swindon, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Liverpool, Leeds and Brixton, which are all sold out.

Singer Roy Stride formed the band in London in 2005 with Greg Churchouse on bass guitar and Peter Ellard on drums and they have become one of the most exciting live acts of the past few years.

Promoters Live Nation have not yet announced the special guests who will be supporting the trio.

Liz Cooper, marketing director at the Ricoh Arena, said the band’s debut album called Scouting For Girls had sold more than 500,000 copies which emphasised their popularity.

“We are delighted to announce that another top band will be performing at the Ricoh Arena following on from Bon Jovi and Ash,” she said.

“We are keen to bring all different sorts of music to the city and the Jaguar Exhibition Hall is a perfect indoor venue.

“Scouting For Girls have already performed at T In The Park, Manchester and Birmingham this year and their first album reached No. 1 so 2008 has been a year to remember.

“Their Indie-pop style really strikes a chord with their fans and I’m sure when they play She’s So Lovely, the Jaguar Exhibition Hall will be rocking.

“We will be announcing the support acts nearer the time but tickets are now on sale.”

Doors will open at 7pm.
